The new Audemars Piguet Manufacture in Meyrin is much more than a simple modernization: it is a transformation of an existing industrial site where heritage value serves as the starting point for a contemporary, precise, measured, and environmentally responsible project.

Clarma collaborated on this exemplary project as a trusted partner for lighting solutions. We worked with 3E Ingénieurs Sàrl, an electrical engineering firm based in Geneva, to plan and supply the lighting for the workshops. This close collaboration made it possible to integrate lighting solutions that align with the ambitious vision of the FdMP architects studio, which blends heritage and innovation by reinterpreting the original structure to accommodate new uses related to fine watchmaking.

A contribution that aligns with the project's values

Our commitment goes beyond simply supplying equipment. We share the project’s philosophy: to promote the core values of collaboration and well-being. The lighting we have installed in the workshop is not merely a technical choice; it is a contribution to creating a healthy and optimal work environment for the master watchmakers and staff.

The Gyon luminaire in the LPD configuration represents the perfect blend of technical performance and workplace well-being. For a project of this scale and with these high standards, it was the ideal lighting solution.

For the workshop areas, we installed over 500 Gyon luminaires, each 2 meters long, specially configured and IP43-certified. These luminaires, equipped with LPD optics (Low Glare Diffusing Prism) with a UGR rating of <19, offer an exceptional lighting solution designed to promote well-being and performance.

We know that inadequate lighting causes headaches, eye strain, and concentration difficulties. Our solution therefore creates a healthy and productive work environment, where the quality of light promotes the concentration and precision essential to fine watchmaking. The absence of glare reduces visual fatigue and the risk of eye strain; furthermore, optimized lighting improves employees’ well-being and mood, and our approach is part of an eco-responsible strategy consistent with the project’s values.

This collaboration reflects our belief that lighting is a strategic element in the success of a project, just as much as architecture or spatial design. We don’t simply supply lighting fixtures; we create integrated lighting solutions that support our partners’ vision and objectives.
