As part of the renovation of the dining rooms at Anne-Sophie Pic at the Beau Rivage Palace in Lausanne, Clarma was commissioned to design and supply the chandeliers, as well as to handle the complete lighting design.

This close collaboration with R Monnet Électricité of Lausanne aimed to transform the dining areas by creating a lighting ambiance that perfectly showcases the exceptional cuisine of Michelin-starred chef Anne-Sophie Pic. The design process focused on a central challenge: creating lighting that would highlight the culinary creations while establishing an elegant and intimate atmosphere. The chosen solution relies on the use of luminaires with a narrow, directional beam, allowing the lighting to be precisely focused on the tables for optimal presentation of the dishes. This approach maximizes luminous efficacy by limiting unnecessary light spill, while creating zones of light that define spaces and maintain overall harmony.

A lighting design

The bar area received special attention with the installation of integrated linear LED strips. These elements highlight the furniture and cocktail bottles, accentuating different areas while creating distinct lighting atmospheres that emphasize the space’s architecture.

We chose the Ledixa Minimo Giro, whose narrow 20° beam precisely meets the requirements of restaurant lighting: focused, flattering, and without glare.

The lighting design creates a complete dining experience in which light becomes a key element of the food presentation. The precise color rendering and carefully calibrated intensity allow guests to fully appreciate each dish, while the overall atmosphere remains warm and inviting thanks to the installation of decorative lighting fixtures.
