Three NR2 design lights by Moooi, both pendant and floor models, illuminate an elegant living room.

In contemporary design, living room lighting goes beyond the simple function of illumination. It becomes a vector of identity and a means of enhancing the space, contributing to the overall perception of the project.
At Clarma, we approach each living room as a unique space that requires careful lighting considerations from the earliest stages of design. Our role is to plan the layout, define light intensities and color temperatures, and select the most relevant fixtures to ensure seamless integration into the architectural and decorative project.

A work of precision and coordination
We work closely with architects, interior designers, and project owners to ensure that each light source aligns with the overall vision. Every fixture is selected to:

  • Highlight the architectural structure

  • Create distinct functional zones (reading nook, reception area, relaxation space)

  • Showcase key elements (artworks, furniture, fine materials)

  • Guarantee optimal visual comfort for all living room uses

Lighting in the service of experience
Well-designed lighting does more than illuminate: it guides the eye, enhances volumes, and modulates the atmosphere throughout the day. This mastery of light transforms the living room into a welcoming, elegant space perfectly adapted to its uses, while respecting the architectural intent.

General lighting – Ambient

Modern living spaces with neutral tones, contemporary furniture and ambient lighting design.

Lighting a living room is not limited to simply installing a central ceiling fixture. To achieve optimal visual comfort and a warm atmosphere, it is essential to plan the lighting according to the space, its uses, and the number of fixtures required.

Current trend: track lighting
Track lighting systems stand out for their modularity and contemporary design. Mounted on the ceiling, they allow different light fixtures (adjustable spotlights, pendants, decorative projectors) to be clipped on and moved freely. This solution offers several advantages: flexibility, modern aesthetics, and an even distribution of light, reducing shadow areas.

Black Foster

In its recessed or trimless version, Black Foster blends seamlessly into the space thanks to its ultra-thin frame, almost imperceptible when switched on. It thus offers a refined “visual trimless” aesthetic. Designed for optimal visual comfort, this luminaire conceals the light source to deliver a uniform and soft illumination, free from glare.

Système Track 48V

The system embodies refined architectural integration, offering a sleek aesthetic through its minimalist design: the trimless version appears as a discreet fine line on the ceiling, while the surface-mounted and suspended variants stand out for their sobriety and elegance. Designed with safety and modularity in mind, this low-voltage track allows fixtures to be added or repositioned without cutting the power supply, ensuring a smooth and secure installation.

Spotlights – Focus

Modern living rooms with minimalist design, showcasing various types of decorative and architectural lighting: pendants, track spotlights, and floor lamps.

Installing a system of spotlights in a living room makes it possible to create focused and adjustable lighting, ideal for highlighting specific areas of the space.

Adjustable and versatile, spotlights allow the light to be directed according to needs: illuminating a reading corner, accentuating a painting, or structuring the room through plays of shadow and contrast. This solution combines flexibility, visual comfort, and contemporary design, integrating seamlessly into a modern living room.

Plus 48V

The Plus 48 V projector by Arkoslight is a low-voltage track lighting solution that combines finesse with optimal precision. With a simple manual adjustment, its optical system — combining a collimation lens with a retractable snoot-type screen — allows the light beam to be modulated, shifting from a flood angle to a spot angle as required.

Tilt 48V

The Tilt 48 V low-voltage track system stands out for its remarkable freedom of movement: the luminaire can rotate 360° and tilt up to 90°, allowing the light to be directed with great precision. This flexibility paves the way for varied and dynamic lighting atmospheres, perfectly suited to living room design.

Reading corner

Modern and cozy reading corners, enhanced with various decorative and architectural lighting fixtures such as floor lamps, pendants, table lamps, and track spotlights.

Floor lamps are ideal for creating a warm and functional reading corner in a living room. Placed next to an armchair or sofa, they provide focused and comfortable lighting while adding an elegant decorative touch. Their height and mobility make it easy to adjust the light to specific needs, creating an intimate atmosphere conducive to relaxation.

Hover

A floor lamp with an ingenious design, where the lampshade appears to float weightlessly, supported only by a cable carefully concealed within the stem. This poetic illusion of lightness transforms the lighting fixture into a true sculptural piece.

Out

Designed to bring the warmth of domestic lighting to open spaces, the Out floor lamp creates truly welcoming illuminated areas in the living room. Its silhouette combines a curved steel stem with an aluminum lampshade, available in a rich palette of natural and textured finishes. Equipped with a dimmer, it allows the intensity and diffusion of light to be adjusted to suit any atmosphere.

Decorative and Cove lighting

Contemporary interiors with decorative pendants and cornice lighting integrated into shelves, creating an elegant and warm atmosphere.

Living room lighting gains character when combined with decorative pendants made of natural materials or blown glass, true design pieces that enhance the space while diffusing a warm light. Complemented by LED strips integrated into wooden furniture, they create a subtle interplay of contrasts and reflections, bringing both conviviality and elegance to the entire room.

Array

Designed to soften and diffuse light rather than impose it, these pendants combine gentle downward lighting with a subtle upward glow. The interplay between light and the multiple layers of threads creates a striking chromatic gradient, enriched by the texture and depth of the materials.

Knit

Offered in several versions — pendant, floor lamp, or table lamp — Knit integrates elegantly into a living room or reading corner, bringing a warm and refined touch. Its ribbed Lycra lampshade, crafted using a knitted veneer technique, combines opacity with lightness, allowing a soft, diffuse, and uniform light to filter through.
