Clarma worked with the client and the lighting designer on a comprehensive project to redesign the lighting layout.

The main objective was to rethink the entire lighting system in order to optimize visual comfort, the functionality of the spaces, and the overall quality of the ambience.

Lighting plays a crucial role in how a space is perceived, whether it is intended for staff or customers. Poorly distributed or improperly calibrated lighting can detract from the user experience, create areas of discomfort, or even distort the architectural interpretation of the space. That is why a methodical and technical approach was implemented from the very beginning of the project.

From the very beginning

We developed a precise and structured lighting layout plan, which allowed us to analyze the building’s various areas in detail. This study served as the basis for precisely defining the placement of light sources—particularly recessed spotlights—to ensure a uniform and consistent distribution of light.

Each parameter was carefully considered: the number of light fixtures required per zone, the optimal distances between each light source, the light intensity levels suited to specific uses, and the most appropriate color temperature to create the desired ambiance. This approach strikes a balance between the project’s technical requirements and its aesthetic goals.

Thanks to this site-specific study, the project now features lighting designed down to the smallest detail, combining technical performance, visual comfort, and architectural quality.

This close collaboration between Clarma, the client, and the lighting designer led to a cohesive, well-executed solution tailored to the space’s actual uses. The final result provides a balanced, warm, and functional lighting atmosphere that meets the expectations of both staff and customers.

Beyond simply installing the lights, this project aims to create a true light-based installation.
