Comprehensive support, from design to delivery, for the Museum of Illusions.

Every successful lighting project is planned well in advance of completion. At Clarma, our design office gets involved right from the design phase to ensure a comprehensive, consistent, and well-managed approach. It is this conviction that guides Clarma’s approach to every project, and the Museum of Illusions in Geneva is a perfect example of this.

From design to delivery, our design office led this project alongside Intralighting and Sébastien Millot, the museum’s director—who were involved from the start and active on-site, with regular follow-up meetings bringing together the architect and electrician.

This early collaboration allowed us to anticipate technical constraints, adapt solutions to each space, and ensure rigorous oversight at every stage of construction. The goal: to enhance the installations and strengthen the immersive experience for visitors throughout their visit.

Intralighting lighting fixtures selected for their precision and flexibility

To meet the requirements of this project, several fixtures from the Intralighting range were selected, including the Kalis, Trix, and Rulo models, which are valued for their precision and installation flexibility in demanding environments. These fixtures have successfully highlighted the art installations while ensuring optimal visual comfort for visitors.

In this project, lighting wasn’t just a detail, it was at the heart of the experience. Each space was designed to guide, surprise, and immerse the visitor.

In addition, no fewer than 240 custom-made sections of Ledixa’s Picolinea Ona linear profile were manufactured in our workshop in Aclens and integrated into the museum’s various spaces. Strategically placed at the transitions between rooms, these recessed profiles create a striking lighting transition effect, naturally guiding visitors from one space to another and enhancing the dynamic flow of the tour. Discreet yet impactful, they fully contribute to the immersive and sensory atmosphere of this exceptional venue.

Because a successful lighting project is not just about a great selection of products—it’s about a holistic vision, attentive listening, and long-term support. From design to implementation, Clarma is committed to creating spaces that leave a lasting impression.
