The project that is transforming the lighting experience

For over two years, we have been working on an ambitious and exciting project: the creation of Clarma’s new headquarters in Le Mont-sur-Lausanne, a unique venue in French-speaking Switzerland entirely dedicated to the immersive experience of lighting.
It is not just a simple office-showroom: it is a destination where you can understand, test, and discover the real impact of each light fixture.

Why this project was necessary

Choosing a light fixture is never just a simple decision. The same goes for comprehensive lighting solutions for a space. Understanding a product’s benefits and technical specifications, and identifying the ideal setting for its installation—that’s what turns a good choice into a successful one.
It is in response to this reality that we envisioned this space: a place where our clients, architects, and designers (and others) can experience firsthand how light transforms environments, rather than relying on catalogs or images.

Stages of construction

The official groundbreaking ceremony for the Clarma building took place in July 2025. Since then, construction has progressed with determination and professionalism, with each milestone reflecting a clear vision. Today, the building’s exterior envelope is nearly complete. This crucial phase finally reveals the building’s true form and architectural identity. The building’s clean lines and thoughtful design are beginning to embody the original vision: a space dedicated to showcasing lighting fixtures and fostering interaction between our partners and visitors.

The Next Frontier

The completion of the exterior work will mark the start of a second, decisive phase: interior design and the creation of experiential spaces. This is where Clarma truly comes into its own. We will design immersive experiential spaces intended to reflect everyday life:

  • A functional kitchen for testing lighting in an authentic living space
  • Hallways and passageways to explore different atmospheres
  • An indoor or outdoor garden to discover landscape lighting
  • Office areas to assess the impact of light on well-being and productivity
  • Other living spaces designed to offer a comprehensive and representative experience

Each area of Clarma will allow our visitors to test different lighting solutions in real-life situations and see firsthand how light transforms a space.

We firmly believe that this immersive and hands-on approach changes the way people choose lighting fixtures. It transforms a technical decision into a true understanding of the aesthetic and functional impact.
